Name Beach Bar and Grill (Cozumel Mexico)

The weather was horrible in Cozumel. We had a day of rough seas and not able to dock in Costa Maya, so we came to Cozumel in the evening and stayed overnight. This morning the weather continued being bad.

After putting on our ponchos we head out for a food-venture. The No Name Bar was where we happen to arrive. We went to another place beforehand, but it was packed so we came here. So glad we did.

It’s a very small bar area. I had to ask if they served food and they have a large selection of items to order. Including some Turkish dishes.

The menu was awesome. Flags from all over the world. This bar and grill is made by crew, for crew. Their welcome mat says it as soon as you walk in. Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of it.

@aroth was a serious trooper today. After all that rain hitting our faces we were happy to be somewhere that was nice and warm and with free wifi.

Big Momma (@aroth) started it off with a Cafe Latte. Great choice. With that little touch of cinnamon.

Turkish coffee for me. And yes that is a double. Wow. I swear I grew hair with that first drink. The “mud” at the end is always the best.

Oh yeah. Not everyone enjoys this. I happen to be a fan of Turkish coffee. Kudos to No Name Bar for making it so well. As I mentioned they have different Turkish items on the menu.

El Capitan’s Girlfriend. Arrachera (Steak) with French Fries and Side Salad. This was my dish. Oh yes. I tend to come to Cozumel for their steak. It has a unique taste.

@aroth ordered The 2nd Officer. Arrachera tacos with cheese. They bring you the pico de gallo and the guacamole on the side.

All in all, very nice place. Veronica was our server and she was very sweet. The woman at the bar was not as friendly. She just gave us the menus and had us have a seat. Efficient, but not friendly. No Name is located right across the street from Mega grocery store. Ask for Veronica.

Fogo Do Brazil (Cozumel)

Here we were in Cozumel doing what we always do. I was on a mission to go to another place when this lovely young woman asked us to check Fogo Do Brazil out.

We had never seen this place before. Not sure how long it’s been here now. We knew it was going to be good.

The place is classy. As soon as we got off the escalator we knew we were in for a great treat.

When we entered the place was glowing. It was pristine. Colorful and very well decorated.

Gorgeous table settings.

True Brazil fashion.

I am telling you the place is gorgeous.

This was my view of the beautiful Disney Magic from the restaurant. I truly love my job.

@xobejm ordered the lemonade and it was huge.

Fresh Guacamole. Very nice.

Pico De Gallo was freshly made as well and hit the spot on this hot day.

I had requested some true non American hot sauce.

Feast Shot of our starters.

Steak tacos. This is what @tarajroth ordered.

@Xobejm ordered the Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas. This is her go to dish every time. These did not disappoint.

Arrachera Steak with vegetables and rice. @tarajroth and I discussed when we go to Cozumel the steak is different than what you would find in other regions. Still good, don’t get me wrong. Just different.

This one was a true Foodbidden Family lunch that got our thumbs up.

Service was great and the staff is very attentive. When coming off the ship take a left and go down the main road. You can’t miss it on your right.

Chocolateria Isla Bella (Cozumel)

Two pleasant surprises in one day. When @tarajroth and I were walking back to the ship there was a woman sitting on a small stool and she asked if we wanted to try her chocolates.

Two Anglo women who live on the island and make chocolates everyday. Very laid back and super friendly ladies.

The place is cozy and smells great when you walk in.

You can see the variety of flavors that they have. @Tarajroth and I had to get an assortment before we left.

We were suggested a few of their favorites. We couldn’t decide so we picked a bunch.

Overall, this place was very nice. I was so glad the woman was sitting outside asking if we wanted to try some chocolate. @Tarajroth and I never say no to chocolate.

Chocolateria Isla Bella

Wouldn’t be able to tell you the address but here is the best
I can do. From the Pier: Walk out to the main road and make a left. When you get to the Thirsty Cougar make a right. Just a half a block down is Isla Bella. On your left.

La Choza (Cozumel, Mexico)

This one is all thanks to Caitlyn. @tarajroth and I owe you big for this one.

@Tarajroth and I had never walked this far off the main road for lunch in Cozumel. We always ask around on the ship where the best places are at.

The entrance was awesome. We were so glad that we had made it. It was windy and we were lost for a bit, so it was nice when we arrived to a great looking place.

Several crew members here which makes me always believe its a great place. Wifi is available. This is always a must when we find a place to eat.

Chris was our server today. Great guy. Very friendly. We started off with our usual Mexican cokes.

Chips with queso sauce.

Arrachera Steak with beans and guacamole

Sopa Azteca.

Avocado Pie. Okay, so before you make that face, let me explain. Chris said we had to try it. @Tarajroth and I love Avocado, but we didn’t know about a pie. We knew it would be a bit before we came back to Cozumel, so we had to try it. Absolutely amazing. So good! It was frozen so we had to dig in. Yummy!!

Overall, way better than I ever expected. This place is nice and it’s very clean. Servers are all great. It’s a team effort. Prices are great. Ask for Chris. He has great recommendations.

Buccanos Bar and Grill Cozumel

This was our stop in Cozumel for this time around. It was a beach day with the family. The taxi driver recommended this for us when we got to the pier.

The pool is amazing and the water temperature was just right.

The beach and the weather were perfect on this day. It started off windy but it ended up being an awesome day.

Within Cozumel Caribe you can find Buccanos Bar and Grill.

It looks tiny at first and then you go around the corner and you see all this space.

Lots of space and the whole place got packed in a second. we arrived around 3:00pm.

Black beans and rice with guacamole for the fajitas.

Steak Nachos. This comes with the works. Fantastic. There were four of us at the table and we could not finish it all. Wow. Nice portion.

Steak Fajitas. Oh Yeah!! This was the only way to go with all the family enjoying lunch. So, we went with the fajitas. Believe it or not we filled up more with the nachos than we did with the fajitas.

Pedro and Martin hooked us up. We had two servers taking care of us today. Awesome guys. Gracias por todo amigos.

Señor Iguanas. Cozumel Mexico

I would like to give MUCHO thanks to @burgerbeast and Mrs. @burgerbeast for suggesting this place. Definitely off the beat and path. Or should I say off the “BEAST” and path. Also, big thanks to Angela who always puts up with me and all my food adventures and joining me today.

Great Mexican restaurant in Cozumel Mexico near the beach. Tourist come from all over the world just to sit down and have a Corona and then be on their way. This is the usual taxi stop when the taxi drivers give you a tour of the island.

Our view from our table was breathtaking. When @burgerbeast told me about the place and showed me pics I knew this was something I had to do.

Amazing. Felt so good to sit and hear the crashing of the waves. The breeze today was perfect. Now…on to the FOOD stuff!

Ok not yet, first I had to show what the bar looks like. We came early so the bar was not hopping. Once we were leaving lots of people were stopping by. Ok, NOW on to the FOOD stuff!!

WOW! The salsa was truly the freshest I have had. Angela had to ask what was inside. All fresh cut goodies. Best part was the Habanero peppers. Had a great kick to it. Excellent pico de gallo!

Guacamole. Once again. Freshly made. Not often have I found a place that makes it all on the spot. You can definitely taste the difference.

Arrachera Fajitas. Angela ordered these and they were great. They also had a mix of shrimp, chicken, and steak. Luckily, Angela and I were in the mood for all steak today.

Arrachera tacos, black beans, guacamole, salad. We ate these in two seconds. They were nice and soft and tender. Very flavorful. The tacos come plain and you add what you want. We always added the pico de gallo to everything.

Feast Shot. I cannot tell you how quickly we ate all of this. It was delicious. Only one observation, no Mexican coke. We got Pepsi in a can.

House Sangria. Angela saw it on the menu and it got her attention. They brought it over and even I tried some. Very refreshing! Not too overwhelming strong. Perfect ending to a great meal.

Foodbidden TWO THUMBS UP!!

Angela TWO THUMBS UP!!

I was not able to get specific address on this location. Will update when I can. Also, if getting off the cruise ship go to the Taxi area and ask for Señor Iguana Restaurant next to Mezcalitos. All the drivers know the place. It’s about a 30 minute drive from the pier.

Costa Brava Restaurant

Thank you so much to Adaya Viera for recommending this place to us. We tend to go to another spot where all the crew members hang out, but today we wanted to do something different. We have been to Cozumel over 100 times and today was a nice surprise.

Costa Brava is a nice place with a colorful interior and plenty of seating.

We had crew members and guest in here today enjoying a great meal with Rosa the owner. Teresa was the one serving us today and she suggested the Plato Mexicano (The Mexican Plate)

The table setting was awesome and we were served chips with a mild salsa and a hot salsa. Never been to a place where you get two options. Very nice.

When Teresa brought out the dish we were shocked. It truly had a bit of everything in it. You name it, it’s there.

Pork chop, beef, chicken taco with green sauce, chicken taco with mole sauce, cheese quesadilla, chicken tostada, chicken enchilada. Holy Mother of Aztec calendars! This dish was amazing! So much to choose from. And as you can see from the picture before this one, it had rice, fried black beans, guacamole, and veggies.

My famous Feast Shot. Unbelievable! Costa Brava pride themselves in home style cooking. It all was delicious. So many things to choose from, it was hard to determine which was my favorite.

Bring a friend with you. The whole menu is in Spanish. They accept credit cards and cash. Free Wifi. Ask for Tere. She was awesome.

Tere was nice enough to take a picture for us. She was concerned that the picture came out dark. I told her regardless of how it looked I would still post it. @Tarajroth and I had to combine our thumbs up on this dish.
