Nice entrance. I just had the urge to hold my breath. I remember this being that horrible quick service place. Ok, not horrible, but not good and the arcade that had half of the machines that never worked. Alright, let me stop. Y’all know I tend not to eat at places like this, but I happened to be here and had to give it a second chance. I came here with @vleboss and @tarajroth about a year ago and I didn’t like it. I was hoping the second time would be better.
Fancy and yet laid back where you can just have a nice relaxing lunch. Note: This is a very family friendly restaurant. Meaning kids will be here 100 percent of the time. Maybe not so relaxing. : )
The Grilled Chicken Breast was my choice for today. Atop a house made onion roll with sun dried tomato spread and Zellwood sweet corn relish.
Sweet Temptations:
Butterscotch Creme Brûlée with Espresso Macaroon, New York Cheesecake with apple cranberry compote, and olive oil infused chocolate truffle mousse with salted caramel sauce.
I was so full, but Mary my server convinced me to get dessert. I am glad she did. She did suggest next time getting something different for an entree. She said their top seller is the Fish and the Reuben sandwich. I told Mary I would be coming back very soon.
I am adding the website info. Great pics and they have the menu as well. Disney did this restaurant well. I am semi impressed.

Our anniversary staycation starts off with a great breakfast this morning. @tarajroth and I have been here several times and the food has always been fantastic. Located at Disney’s Boardwalk
The entrance is gorgeous. Today was a 30 minute wait. Tourism is alive and kickin’. Lots of locals and tourist make this place a busy breakfast spot.
Lots of people, so this was the only shot I could take safely. Hollie was our server today and she was awesome.
Cafe Latte is a must when you are here. Nice and smooth. They have a press pot signature coffee blend. We need to try this the next time we come.
Stacked Kouzzina Breakfast. Two poached eggs, Kalamata olive toast, artichoke spread, and sweet potato hash with chicken sausage.
Breakfast skillet. With eggs, pequillo peppers, Nueske’s bacon, onions, potatoes, Greek cheese, topped with Arugula.
UPDATE!! This just in. We went ahead and ordered the Kouzzina Press Pot Coffee. Available only at Kouzzina. Robust and Unique flavors according to their menu.
Hollie, you were amazing. Thanks for making our anniversary special. We love your smile.

Finally made it. Our pre anniversary lunch. We had to book this one months in advance.
Wine cellar. This is the view from the entrance. We arrived early and we were seated at the bench to wait our turn.
The picture doesn’t do it justice. Very very busy in this place and fortunately @tarajroth and I came hungry.
When you open up the menu it lights up. Awesome. @Tarajroth is having fun today.
Assortment of breads.
Waterkist heirloom tomatoes. @Tarajroth ordered this one.
Cheddar cheese soup. I saw all the reviews about this one and had to get it. It was nice but @tarajroth beat me with her appetizer.
Bone in Rib Eye with fingerling potatoes. My apologies for the bad pic. Not much lighting where we were seated. This was @tarajroth order and it was fantastic.
Filet mignon with wild mushroom risotto. This was good, but again @tarajroth beat me hands down. Her dish was the best. She did enjoy my risotto.
Maple Creme Brûlée. @Tarajroth ordered this and loved it. I didn’t like it at all.
No sugar added strawberry Panna Cotta. Marscapone Panna Cotta, strawberry, late harvest reduction. I love the anniversary decorations. Very nice of them to do that. This was good. Not amazing, but good.
Service was okay. Our server was Lauren. She was efficient but not really friendly. Just did her job and that was it. Not my preference in a place like this. Good experience, but not my type of place.

Inside Disneys Polynesian Resort. Kona Cafe was the place to be for our 10 year anniversary. Great breakfast options.
The amount of people here daily is overwhelming. This place is always hoppin. Ann was our server today. Starting us off with some great Kona Coffee.
Kona Coffee Press Pot is the best way to start this party. This was so smooth. I am still feeling the effects of it.
Big Kahuna. French toast, pancakes topped with pineapple sauce and Macadamia nut butter, eggs, home-fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage.
Tonga Toast. Banana stuffed sour dough French toast rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with strawberry compote and bacon.
Overall great place to start off your day. Amazing breakfast!

Post anniversary breakfast spot before we head back home from our Staycation.
Nice place. We had about 10 minute wait. Not too bad.
Small place. Not what I expected. But it is loud. Lots of kids here too. Sit down is always nice, but it comes with a price. I’m a poet and I didn’t know it. : )
Cafe Latte. Dang this was delicious. Andy was our server today. Not as friendly as we thought he would be. Just did his job and that was all. Not the usual Disney customer service that we expected.

Two eggs any style, breakfast potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, and sausage. This was my order.
Banana Bread French Toast – topped with Bahamian Banana Rum Butter Sauce, Coconut cream, and bacon. This was what @tarajroth ordered.
Breakfast was great. Service was just okay and the noise level is a bit too much for me. Don’t think we will be coming back.

I am happy to say we made it. We had booked this brunch weeks ago and didn’t realize it landed on Mother’s Day. Wow! Busy day.
When the doors opened at 11:03am people were a little peeved. They wanted those doors opened at 11 on the dot.
The outside seating is nice. The weather was great today and we had a slight breeze. But we chose to sit inside.
Nice looking bar. The whole place is huge. The seating is nice and spread out too. You don’t feel crammed into one place near several families. Lots of room.
Nice and sunny day makes the restaurant glow on the inside. People were lined up to get in today.
Full Irish breakfast with sausage, black-and-white pudding, bacon, roasted tomato, mushrooms and fried eggs with roasties.
Pancakes Diaspora. Homemade pancakes with creme fraiche, maple syrup and mixed berry compote.
Eggs Benedict – Two soft poached eggs on a toasted English muffin with prosciutto smothered in hollandaise sauce and served with roasties.
Chris was our server today. Awesome guy. We finally got great customer service at Disney. After a whole week of okay service it was refreshing to get some true guest service.
