Sip N’ Dip Donuts

Another one that I have been wanting to come to for so long. I have finally arrived.

As soon as you walk in and smell all those baked goods it’s heavenly. Wow. Now I see why there were so many people coming in and out of this place.

Locals coming in and out for the breakfast sandwiches as well. They looked great, but I was on a mission. It was time to get a donut.

Oreo cookie donut. Now this is what dreams are made of. @Xobejm had been here with a friend and wasn’t a big fan. I love this place. PERIOD!!!

Boston Cream. Anything custard filled is my go to item. This was so nice and soft. Melted in my mouth.

Two BIG Thumbs Up!!!  The staff is nice and very helpful. Great little family business. Love finding gems like this.

B Cupcakes

I am in a big sugar coma as I write this. Via several social media sites I had seen that B Cupcakes was going to open up a new location in Winter Park Florida. I did my research and I saw that they have a location in Apopka Florida already and it seemed to have wonderful reviews.

Their second shop is located on the corner of Fairbanks and Park Avenue. It’s not really hidden, but you do have to be looking out for it to find it. It’s right next to the 711.

@Tarajroth and I wanted to go early to meet up with @winechix, but we had an appointment we needed to go to. After the appointment was done we had some lunch in Hunters Creek and made our way to Winter Park.

Beautiful place. Today was their grand opening and they had a buy one get one free special on all their cupcakes.

Brittany was the first want to greet us when we arrived. We had told her that we drove all the way from Kissimmee and she was impressed.

I knew that choosing the right cupcake was going to be difficult, so in order to make it easy for myself and wifey I decided to get one of each. You name it they have it: Peanut butter chocolate, German chocolate, salted caramel, lemon zest, Red Velvet, etc.

I ended up getting a total of 20 cupcakes to bring home. Now I know I had mentioned this before I am a big cupcake fan, so this was the perfect number for me.

They have a milk bar as well and you can add any flavor to whatever type of milk you order.

The price of the cupcake is definitely worth it. The moisture of the cake and the frosting is a perfect blend to a delicious cupcake. Red Velvet was my favorite so far. I still have 19 more cupcakes to go. Stop on by when you are in the Winter Park area. You will not regret it.

Brittany, thanks for the warm welcome and the great customer service. You rock!!

Chocolateria Isla Bella (Cozumel)

Two pleasant surprises in one day. When @tarajroth and I were walking back to the ship there was a woman sitting on a small stool and she asked if we wanted to try her chocolates.

Two Anglo women who live on the island and make chocolates everyday. Very laid back and super friendly ladies.

The place is cozy and smells great when you walk in.

You can see the variety of flavors that they have. @Tarajroth and I had to get an assortment before we left.

We were suggested a few of their favorites. We couldn’t decide so we picked a bunch.

Overall, this place was very nice. I was so glad the woman was sitting outside asking if we wanted to try some chocolate. @Tarajroth and I never say no to chocolate.

Chocolateria Isla Bella

Wouldn’t be able to tell you the address but here is the best
I can do. From the Pier: Walk out to the main road and make a left. When you get to the Thirsty Cougar make a right. Just a half a block down is Isla Bella. On your left.

El Postrecito (Cozumel Mexico)

Mega huge thanks to Cynthia from DCL who told me about this place. I would have never found it on my own. Cynthia had mentioned a great dessert place and I knew that I had to give it a try.

The place is very colorful and as soon as you walk in you can smell all the baked goods.

Cupcakes, cakes, cookies, OH MY!!

The decor was very cool. The tables are nice and simple. Biggest benefit of this place was that they had free WiFi. Big plus.

Banana Cake

I had asked what they recommended for today. I was told I had to try the Banana Cake. I was given a huge slice and I swear I even licked the plate at the end. What a great cake.

Chocolate Cupcake
I also let the gentleman helping me out know that I was a fan of cupcakes and I wanted to know if I could bring them on board the ship. But the gentleman wasn’t sure, so I decided to not risk it and just get one cupcake.

This place is a must try. A bit of a walk from the pier. Just passed Mega supermarket on the corner.
Super friendly service! The place is very clean.

It’s Sugar (Grand Cayman)

How can you possibly say no to a shop like this. I had gone in about three weeks ago and knew I had to write about this place. This week I was ready to take pics and share this store with the world.

The place is amazing. It’s truly a child’s dream come true. Located in Grand Cayman at Gate 1 when you arrive from the tender boats.

The store just goes on and on. With different sweets and treats and tons of memorabilia. Even merchandise from way back in the day.

Everything here is candy. Even huge candy. The biggest jaw breaker I have ever seen here.

Bacon candy products which would be perfect for my buddy @droolius.

Candy, Candy, and more candy. This is truly the place to be to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Had to take this pic of these kids with their life size sweets. Look how big the gummy bear is!!

Gelato as well? Oh yeah. Lots to choose from. The ladies were nice enough and would give samples.

Mint Chocolate Chip. This was Amy’s choice for the day.

Butter Pecan. This was mine. Amazing gelato. We both have actually eaten gelato in Italy, so we were ready to criticize it. We were shocked how good it was. Very tasty.

Definitely something you need to see for yourself. It’s pretty pricey because of the location, but the the products they have are unique. You won’t be disappointed.

One Sweet Sista! Heavenly Cakes

This afternoon was a new discovery sort of day. Downtown Kissimmee has so many wonderful places. Last Thursday One Sweet Sista has opened their doors. And today was the day I would discover it.

Christi was the young lady who welcomed me to the store as soon as I walked in. The place looked and smelled great. The bright pink on the awning is a great touch. It got my attention in a second.

The inside is very pretty. Everything was super clean. They are going to be serving a full breakfast menu starting Monday. I cannot wait.

Plenty of space to come in and have a great tasting cupcake with a cup of coffee and sit by the window and enjoy the view of Historic Downtown Kissimmee.

Cupcakes galore and more treats. Don’t be fooled. This is just a soft opening and they will be kicking it into gear by Monday. Plenty of treats yet to come.

Banana Bread Pudding.
I was recommended to try this one. I had to take a picture of it. It was fantastic. It has been a long time since I have had a good banana bread pudding.

They have cupcakes with no filling and cupcakes with Bavarian Cream filling. Those were the ones I purchased today. I loved the cream filled ones. They were perfectly made. Nice and moist. The icing was just right. Not too sweet. Perfect amount of filling.

Red Velvet, Vanilla Confetti, Chocolate Confetti, and Pumpkin.
I will be going back to One Sweet Sista very soon. The experience was amazing.

Banana Bread Pudding.
Operating hours will be 6am to 6pm for now and trying to get a feel of the clientele. They will then take it from there and change opening hours depending on the turn out.

Peanut butter, Cinnamon, and Chocolate Chip cookies.
When I was about to leave I asked what else I should order. I was suggested to try the cookies as well.

It all tasted so good. It’s always hard to find the perfect cupcake. This one is a must when in downtown Kissimmee.

Stop on by and visit One Sweet Sista when you are in downtown Kissimmee. You won’t be disappointed. The staff is awesome and I am looking forward to their breakfast menu coming this Monday.

Christi, thanks for being so awesome today. I will be back and bringing my family with me next time.

The Dessert Lady

After a great lunch with @lovenconfection I went to dessert with @kokocooks. This was her idea to meet here and I am glad I accepted the invite. I had seen that @mismamari and @lglastorl talked about this place often. Sweets are my weakness, so I had to come and check them out.

The inside is gorgeous. The pink truly makes this place pop. @xobejm would love this. They used to be located in downtown Orlando and are now in the Dr. Phillips area since December. This place is truly what the “Dr.” ordered.

This is were @kokocooks and I sat. @DessertLadyFL sat with us for a bit and told us about the cakes she has. You could see the passion in her eyes while she explained all the yumminess that she has created. @Kokocooks and I wanted to try a bit of everything and @DessertLadyFL was happy to oblige.

To make it easier I copied and pasted the info from her menu so you can see what each cake contains in detail. Here we go!!!

Tiramisu Torte. (Top right)
Our spin on an Italian favorite. Chocolate chip cookies instead of ladyfingers.

Chocolate Zuccotto. (Top left)
An architectural wonder. Amaretto soaked dome cake filled with dark chocolate mousse and white chocolate mousse. Iced with ganache.

6 Layer Chocolate Cake. Count them, each deep chocolate layer placed upon the most luxurious triple chocolate mousse and coated with chocolate ganache.

Carrot Cake. (Top left) A moist 3-layer cake infused with cinnamon and real bits of carrot that’s topped with the most seductive cream cheese icing, which easily makes it my best seller.

Coconut Brûlée Cheesecake. (Top right) Creamy coconut cheesecake on an amazing macadamia nut crust. Be sure to ask for our own warm toasted coconut and caramel topping.

Sour Cream Apple Cobbler. Granny Smith apples baked in a sweet sour cream custard and topped with a pecan streusel topping.

Cannoli Cake. (Bottom right) Moist white cake sprinkled with rum glaze, filled with a thick layer of cannoli cream and iced with espresso cream cheese frosting.

Key Lime Cake. (Top Middle) Three layers of white cake soaked with special rum glaze, filled with key lime custard and iced with cream cheese frosting.

Secret Stash. Our seasonal cakes, cheesecakes, pies and who knows what else we might create.
Today was a Strawberry “not so short” cake.

Cake Bites. And of course I ended the party with a Cake Bite platter to go. Assorted flavors of cakes in petit four form.

@DessertLadyFL, thank you so much for your hospitality. We loved every single one of your cakes. ALL of them were my favorite. Nice chatting and getting to know more about you.
